Educated Guesses Week 10: Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oy, Oy, Oy!
Needless to say after traipsing from Sydney to Tasmania to Melbourne, I haven’t paid a lick of attention to college football. The biggest thing happening over here is the Victoria Derby this weekend (followed by the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday) and it’s practically a national holiday. Picture the Kentucky Derby with Aussie accents.
The 15-hour time difference doesn’t help keeping up with events back home (though World Series games conveniently take place at lunch time). And even though it’s often a day ahead here, it doesn’t mean I already know what happened.
So I really have nothing else to say.
In addition to following these weekly guesses on ScottMichaux.com, anyone wishing to play along can join The Augusta Chronicle’s Football Fever Challenge. I’ve been leading the field from wire-to-present. You can register to play at http://chronicle.augusta.com/sports/footballfever#.UD9xLcFlSE8
